Truly one of my favorite places in the world is our cozy, moody living room curled up with the fireplace on and a fuzzy blanket around me. Hand me a good book and I can be there all day. Our living room was made for Christmas - quite literally we built the bookcases with a Christmas tree in mind.
But I've always been in the mindset that anything good happens over time. And that includes accumulating Christmas decor. Have you checked the prices of home decor lately? There's no way in a year I can justify purchasing everything I need to fully "Christmas" the house. But this year, thanks to Wayfair, I was able to add a few more special items to our mantle and hearth.
- Set of 3 Bells

Simple Is Better
In the Nordic culture - something I'm becoming increasingly fascinated with – Christmas decor is simple and perhaps even a bit rustic. One of the themes of their decor style is wooden elements that are well crafted. Last year, I bought a beautiful handcrafted wooden Christmas tree from June Home Supply, and this year on Wayfair a set of wooden houses of all shapes and sizes caught my attention.
They sit beautifully on my mantle nestled amongst the fir and pine branches and since it's a full set of 7 houses I can use them on my hearth and bookcases as well. I added a sweet little battery powered tea light and they look so charming glowing next to the Christmas tree.
Oh Christmas Bells
The Polar Express has been a classic around the house since my childhood. I spent hours pouring over the illustrations in the book before I even knew how to read, so the inclusion of bells into my Christmas decor as an adult seems very natural.
I have a few bell ornaments for the tree but was delighted to find this beautiful set of bells on Wayfair when I was combing through their Christmas decor. There are so many uses for these different sized bells: hang them on door handles, use them on a hearth, hang them from a banister or mantle.
They're the loveliest muted gold and have a thick wooden gong on the inside that makes them ring but not too loudly.
Natural Elements All Season Long
I approach my Christmas decorating with more of a broad season view. Most of the decor I pull out for the season is wintery rather than just Christmas - minus the tree of course.
So, elements like birch logs stacked next to the fire or a wire basket holding wool blankets can last all the way through February. This wire basket makes the perfect fireplace accessory for holding logs and blankets.
And Speaking of Cozy Blankets
This Ugg throw might just be the coziest blanket I own and I fancy myself a bit of a blanket collector. Wayfair has an amazing collection of beautiful brands like Ugg and Pendleton Wool, so if you're ever in the market for pieces to add to your Christmas decor, winter fireplace, or cozy couch, don't miss out on the amazing deals that they'll be running all season long.
