An Apartment Closet Tour & Organization Process

I am fascinated by other people’s closets. Seriously, does anyone else sit back and watch organization timelapse videos on YouTube? Just me?

Over the last month or so I’ve been working with a personal concierge service in Greenville called Monogram Concierge to update the layout and organization of my wardrobe. When I moved into our loft I really just threw my clothes in the closet (along with all the random pieces of life) and left it for future Emily. Because life gets busy I had all the good intentions to re-organize the mess but could never quite find the time to make it work. So in came the lifesavers with their expertise!

Monogram Concierge is a Personal Concierge service that helps families and individuals alike spend more time doing the things they love and less time just trying to knock out errands or a growing to-do list. Think of every mundane task that you just can’t get excited to accomplish: laundry, ironing, cleaning out your closet, grocery shopping, planning a birthday party… the list goes on and on… Monogram Concierge can take it off your plate.

Their team of professionals are just that, pros at making your life easier – and who doesn’t want that? My dreaded task was this wardrobe cleanout/organization so Monogram Concierge came in with their positive vibes and friendly smiles and got the job done! In just 2 hours I might add!

Let’s start with the before photos…

I will admit I do have a good sized closet that just houses my clothes and shoes – but because we are limited on storage space I end up trying to push more and more household items in my closet.

Bins thrown on the floor with random greenery, workout clothes, and photo gear was the norm. Boxes of packing supplies and suitcases wasted space on the top shelf. This view isn’t quite as dramatic, but so much wasted space left very little room for efficient storage of off-season clothes. So the sweetest Calla came into the loft last week, rolled up her sleeves, and proceeded to take everything out of the closet! I sorted and organized the things in my junk bins and she found amazing ways to create a cohesive, beautiful storage solution.

I admire resourcefulness so much so using a few items I already had in my possession we started to create a more comprehensive and accessible storage system for non-hanging clothes like shorts and swimwear.

Hanging clothes were sorted and organized by color scheme and sleeve length to create an easy-to-access color palette. Clearly, I favor the whites and blues!

The process continued until everything had a place and was looking clean, organized, and beautiful. I had a couple tasks to finish out the space so I headed to Target to pick up two more cloth bins for shelf storage and an additional shoe organizer to help get my shoes out of plastic bins and up off the floor.

Thus revealing the final product!

Not a sock, shoelace, or hat out of place.

Truly, this one of the most helpful services I’ve ever had performed in my house before and it was all thanks to the Monogram Concierge team! Because while this post might be in collaboration with Monogram Concierge, I truly had such a wonderful experience with the entire process and would 100% recommend it for my Greenville friends who are finding themselves bogged down with the tedious tasks of life. And although it is a highly personalized service, it’s not out of ANYONE’s budget!

Super affordable for a one-off task or a weekly to-do list, Monogram Concierge really can change your life if you need a little extra time.
