On Saturday the weather was shaping up to be the perfect, sunny fall day, and the outdoors was calling our names so we packed up the Jeep with snacks and water and headed north to find the colors of fall. The more I create content for this blog the more I’m conscious of dressing for my environment. From previous visits, I knew the color palette on the Craggy Garden’s pinnacle and while I definitely didn’t think I was going to camouflage into the scenery, I loved the muted yellows and greens that met us! The further up we hiked, the cooler it got and I was glad for my jacket and boots at the top of the mountain.
This jacket has been a fall staple in my wardrobe since I got it last year. I wear it on repeat during the fall months and will probably wear it out one of these years. It’s the perfect color – a darker shade of olive called mossy brown – and pairs with my fall wardrobe colors like a charm. I wear a PXS, but the beauty of this jacket is it looks good on every body type because of the slightly fitted fit and flattering length.
Wax jackets and coats make me dream of adventures in the English countryside or explorations along Irish coasts. While I’m saving up for a Barbour jacket like this one, my trusty J.Crew downtown field jacket is the perfect, less expensive, alternative.
