Happy Friday from South Carolina!

If there was a soundtrack to this period of life right now it would be soft and calm and deep. Cellos and violins in a slow and deliberate melody. I’ve been listening to Jamie Beck’s Provence playlist on Spotify non-stop – except for my Friday afternoon cleaning routine where I put on a record or two.

Time is a bit abstract now and I firmly believe routine is more important than ever. We’ve been spending evenings outside and there’s a campfire in the backyard every weekend. I’d invite you, but we’re still social distancing and taking calculated precautions. Maybe late summer?

Work is slower, but the launch of my newest, creative business – Wallflower – has been an amazing outlet for creativity. Probably the hardest part of quarantine has been not being able to get out of the house for photos. But I have some fun posts coming,

(a brand new cleaning post with a cleaning system that has changed the way I clean my house . . . a guide to spring and summer’s best hats . . . how to take photos in your own home . . .)

I think my creativity is slowly starting to readjust and by the time we all know it, summer will be upon us – for better or worse.

I’ve been keeping a close eye on the sales and have made a few “in anticipation of summer” purchases that I needed. Here’s what I’ve picked up recently:

Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer

I don’t wear foundation in the summer, but always reach for a tinted moisturizer. This is a new, clean product for me but it’s already a favorite.

Hollister Clearance

I am as surprised as you are that Hollister has something I would wear but this shirt was on sale for $5.99 – now an extra 20% off – and it’s the softest material.

H&M Linen Tank

H&M is a great place to shop for inexpensive, quality pieces. Their conscious collection is great and this top is a great staple for summer.

Hasami Porcelain Bottle

Hands down our favorite homeware brand, Hasami is a made in Japan brand that creates beautiful pieces.

We have three of their coffee mugs and just added the bottle to our collection.
