Madewell Essentials

It’s no secret that one of my favorite brands at the moment is Madewell. Their pieces are classic and well-made and although can be a little on the pricey side are some of my favorite items in my wardrobe. Their style philosophy right now is “keep it simple” and that alone is enough to make me like the brand.

But I don’t want to spend all of today’s post just talking about the clothing items I wear consistently – I shared all that over in my Winter Lookbook and Video last week – I do want to talk about 3 specific accessories I would be lost without: a wallet, backpack, and mules.

Madewell Transport Rucksack

This is one of my newest Madewell pieces and I haven’t been able to put it down since Christmas. I’ve been using (and loving) the Madewell Transport Tote for 3 years now. But with traveling more and carrying around laptops and notebooks and iPads to meetings, I’ve found myself wanting a backpack-style bag.

Honestly, after all the use my Transport tote got (and how good it still looks) I didn’t think of buying any brand other than Madewell for a new bag.

Madewell Leather Pouch Wallet

I’ve been using this wallet every single day for the last four years. FOUR YEARS! That’s such a long time for an accessory to stick around, but I’m convinced I’ll be using this wallet for the next ten years.

The inside has card holders, an interior pouch, and enough room on the inside for pens, receipts, gum… all the essentials. A true classic.

The Gemma Mule

A newer addition as well, I bought these on sale at Nordstrom for only $50 – a steal for comfy leather mules. I haven’t worn them a lot (because, winter) but these will be an absolute staple for the upcoming seasons.

I love how they look paired with cropped denim, but I think they’ll truly shine with dresses and skirts during the warmer months.
