Welcome to Monday and welcome to the new and improved Some Pretty Thing! This project has been months in the making and I am so happy it’s now out in the world for you all to enjoy. Most of the core features are the same – main post, featured posts, and social media links but I knew I wanted to provide a more intuitive and engaging shopping experience so now you can discover the Shop page where I feature the Brands I Love, items In My Closet, favorite picks for Office and Workspace necessities, as well as Home Essentials.

Read more about the blog on the About page and visit the Get in Touch page if you have a suggestion, question, or comment. Every single time that email will land in my inbox and I’ll do my best to respond to each and every one of you!

You may be curious about the Curated Inspiration section on the homepage. That is indeed my email signup form and if you haven’t yet signed up for the Some Pretty Thing emails, you’re going to want to! Everything from new posts to weekly roundups, occasional sale alerts, and fashion+ beauty essentials are found in those emails. It’s also a great way to stay in touch with what is happening on the blog and in my life!

Now, I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has worked on this new version of the blog over the last few months. My husband is a talented web designer and his vision for the project was unparalleled. He built this site from the ground up and it would not be what it is without the countless evening and weekend hours he poured into it. Also, a shoutout to my dad who wrote the fancier words you’ll see throughout the pages. He can pull a sentence out a top hat and make it sound like a Hemmingway novel.

I never know where this little side project I call a blog will take me. Honestly, I never did think it would come this far, but I love my corner of the internet with everything I have. I tweeted the other day that I got a little teary-eyed when I saw the final-about-to-be-launched version of the website. To think a hobby – a dream – could turn into something so beautiful is more than I can put into words.

Thank you all for dedicating a few minutes a day to read my words and see my photos and click and devour and comment. I hope it brings a smile to face and inspires you to create and dream and accomplish – because you never know where it may take you.

Cheers to the next 2 years!

xo, Emily
