I was torn between a pair of Madewell mules and Nisolo ones and ended up purchasing the Madewell pair, but my curiosity was still peaked about the Nisolo brand. How Do the Nisolo Mules Fit?
Because of their backless construction, mules are some of the most comfortable shoe styles on the market. They're designed to be an easy slip on/slip off style that's comfortable to walk in.
The Nisolo All Day Heeled Mules have a 2.5" stacked heel that elevates overall look of the shoe without sacrificing their walkability or comfort.
I wear a true size 6 in every shoe I purchase and the Nisolo All Day Heeled Mules were spot on when it came to sizing. Get your regular size because they are very true to size.
Are the Nisolo Mules Comfortable?
Trust me when I say I do not put uncomfortable shoes on my feet and I've walked around all day with these mules on. Pretty much every new shoe I wear I get blisters with. I think I may be the only person that can wear Birkenstocks and get blisters. It's a problem. My feet blister with the best of them, but thus far I haven't had any issue with the All Day Mules.
I wouldn't recommend walking around Disney all day in them, but for your average work day, date night, or event they are peak comfort - especially for a heeled shoe. A few design details that make them supremely comfortable include:
- cushioned insoles
- enhanced padding
- rubber heel caps
- a fully leather lining

How I'm Styling The Nisolo All Day Mules for Fall
Comfort and quality aside, Nisolo just knows how to make beautiful, versatile shoes. These will absolutely be able to worn for three seasons and since we're in the summer to fall transition I wanted to pair them with a classic shorts outfit that I update to reflect some of the changing colors of the season.
This new from Banana Republic Factory top might be the steal of the season. It's soft, elegant and so easy to pair with everything from skirts to shorts. I personally think it runs a bit big so size down, but you can get it for under $20!
And then the Sezane Rome Shorts may just be the season's most elegant shorts. I've had them for 2 summers now and they are my go to elevated pair of shorts.

The Difference Between Mules and Clogs
For a long time I would use these terms interchangeably, but recently learned the difference between the two and thought I would share!
While both shoes employ a slip-on style, mules are often made with higher quality materials and are designed to be a little dressier with the ability to be worn in more elevated environments like the office, a date, etc.
Clogs on the other hand are designed to be casual, a bit looser over the foot and much less dressy. The most notable example of a classic clog is the Birkenstock Boston clogs made of leather or suede and much more causal than the Nisolo All Day Mule.
Both are equally functional and wonderful to have in your wardrobe, but not quite as interchangeable as one might think.
