Let’s talk about hair. During the transition time between winter and spring, hair care is one of the most blogged about, asked about, and googled topics. The overall consensus seems to be that our hair is dry, brittle, lacking shine, and prone to breakage coming out of the tough winter months. We’re looking for hair that gleams in the warm sun and is ultimately more manageable.

It’s no surprise that brands are clambering for our attention this time of year because typically it’s about the time when we switch up our routine and go for products that haven’t been on our radar. Truth be told, I fall into the ‘let’s switch things up’ crowd. I rarely buy the same hair care product twice. There are SO many brands out there doing amazing things, that I’m determined to try a good variety of them. I recently went through a product clean out and decided to shake things up to get my hair in order before an upcoming family vacation. I knew I wanted a product set that would strengthen my hair, so I after scouring the CVS aisles I picked up the Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Fiber Therapy Shampoo, Conditioner and Repair-In Oil Spray.
Although I don’t think my hair is ‘extremely damaged‘ I knew using these products continually would bring my hair up to its full potential. Specifically formulated with liquid keratin the Fiber Therapy line replaces your hair’s lost proteins and strengths the individual fibers. After finding our New York trip particularly damaging on my hair I went for a haircut to get rid of dead ends, but like with anything worth taking care of, haircare is an ongoing process.
I’ve been using the Fiber Therapy trio for a while now and have seen such a big difference in the strength and shine of my hair. It’s nourishing, easy to apply, and leaves my hair cleaner than I’ve felt it in a while. What I also love is that I don’t have to switch out the product or only use it once a week. It’s geared toward everyday users, like me, and that makes it so convenient to get on the road to rapid hair recovery. The one thing I did notice was that it makes my wavy hair straighter than it’s ever been before – which is exactly what the keratin infusion is supposed to do – but I found myself needing to add in a little bit of texture to my hair before curling.
So in order to effectively spring clean you have to get rid of some things. Go through your beauty drawers and either toss or donate haircare products that you haven’t used in years or you know just don’t work with your hair. Then you need to do some research and find out what your hair needs and how you can make it the best it can be. If you’re needing a little extra bounce and shine like I did I suggest giving the Fiber Therapy line a try. And currently, it’s on sale – 2 for $10 – until the 17th, so go give it a try and let me know how you like it!
