I have a dangerous number of white shirts in my closet. From sleeveless to long sleeves, they take up the majority of my closet real estate which is a bit unfortunate because I’m a self-appointed messy person. If anything can jump out of a pot or bottle or tube, it will for me and inevitably land somewhere on one of my white shirts.
But spaghetti sauce aside, white is, in my opinion, the easiest color to carry through every season and an easy color to purchase higher quality basics in.
A few recent purchases and closet staples have been on repeat for me, even through quarantine, and I wanted to do a little roundup and share.
- White Shirt
- Black Shorts
- Hat

A White Button Up
I was kindly gifted this Grayson button up in white and I honestly wear it once a week. Jeans, shorts, sweatpants, leggings… it instantly makes you feel dressed up and professional while being supremely comfortable.
If you’re not looking to invest in a white button up I also have this one from Old Navy that’s pretty good quality. Size up if you want a slightly oversized fit.
A White Tank Top
It’s universally the goal of women to find white tank tops that are not see through. There’s nothing worse than having to wear a shirt under your shirt for modesty’s sake. A recent package from H&M with this white tank was one of my best purchases of the season.
I tested out the shirt with joggers to see how well it held up and it was a success! Comfy and soft it was not at all see through and didn’t loose its shape through the day.
This is another great option from Madewell and another quality basic from H&M.
