You know you're an adult when you get excited about matching wrapping paper. At least that's one of my benchmarks. It started two years ago when I worked on a wrapping paper campaign for American Greetings. They sent over this set of perfectly coordinated wrapping paper - down to the bows and tags - and it made me oh so happy.
Every year after that I work to find darling, coordinated wrapping paper and gifting accessories to beautifully wrap gifts for people all year long. It's a little luxury that bring me so much joy! A couple months ago, one of my favorite paper and stationary brands - Sugar Paper LA - had a sale on their wrapping goodies and I stocked up in anticipation of the holidays and birthdays that were coming up.
Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite styles, paper, accessories, cards and also how I organize and store them throughout the year.
Sugar Paper Gift Wrap & Holiday Cards
Like I mentioned, this year my go-to place to shop for wrapping paper and gift wrap accessories was Sugar Paper! They have such beautiful set of paper and cards and tags. And, thankfully, their holiday collection is now shoppable at Target.
They have a new coordinated set this year, but the colors are still so good – light blue, silver, gold, red. It's stunning!

Rifle Paper Gift Wrap & Cards
Forever and always my favorite paper goods shop in Winter Park, FL. They have the most beautiful cards and wrapping paper. Their Nutcracker line this year is darling and would make the best wrapping for a little girl's presents.
Gift Wrap Organization and Storage
I think we can agree that unorganized wrapping paper can make the process of gifting quite a bit harder. I love having a stock of season-less wrapping paper so if I need a bag or card in a pinch I know exactly where it is. During November and December the wrapping paper is always out, so this year I wanted to make a wrapping station where everything is out and visible and organized so when I gift comes in I can go ahead and wrap and put under the tree – like a very efficient elf assembly line.
A few items I always keep on hand for gift wrap:
- Scotch tape and backup tape
- Wrapping only scissors
- Ribbon and twine
- Pen
- Gift tags
Organization Pieces for Gift Wrap
Wire baskets are my go-to for organizing the small bits and bobs, but a floor basket for holding unwieldy rolls of wrapping paper is great for a couple weeks!
