So, how are you holding up amongst the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale madness? Haven’t paid attention? Me either. What I have been paying attention to is my current wardrobe – assessing what I’ve been wearing, what I haven’t, what styles I’m drawn to, what holes I need to fill.
Because my closet is slowly being overtaken by white tops I honestly didn’t assume I would need any other styles . . . spoke too soon.
A few months ago now my blogging bestie Sarah from Strikes of Luck was in town so we popped up to Charlotte, NC for the day to explore, drink coffee, visit murals, and take photos. Naturally, between the two of us we managed to bring along 7 different outfits to photograph.
This one was my favorite. Back to white tops.
I didn’t think there were any styles I would find missing from my wardrobe, but it seemed that some classic, crisp, workwear appropriate tops were no where to be found amongst my chiffon, jersey, lace, and eyelet.
To remedy that, I placed a Chicwish order for an office-suitable white top with enough detail to be anything but boring.
- Peter Pan collar – check!
- Contrasting buttons – check!
- Comfortable – check!
I paired it with some versatile favorites – Madewell high-waisted black jeans and Vince Camuto wedges.
Professional enough for the office and causal enough for a mid-summer’s afternoon coffee date.
Thank you to Strikes of Luck for the photos!
