Two years ago I bought a beautiful dress from one of my favorite blogger's dress line – Gal Meet Glam. At the time the brand was releasing new dress collections every month and they were all timeless, feminine, and beautiful. I had my eye on the Esther dress (pictured above) when their lookbook came out and bought it the morning of the launch.
When it came in the mail it was even more beautiful in person than the website suggested. In my opinion, one of the most unique features of the dress was the sleeve style (which has since become one of my favorites sleeve silhouettes).
A lantern sleeve indicates a long sleeve or wrist-length sleeve that is well fitted at the shoulder and billows out into a loose sleeve with a gathering at the wrist. It's an extremely flattering silhouette on every body type and is most commonly used with lightweight fabric like chiffon.
Ever since posting about the dress, my most commonly asked DM question is do I still own it and is it for sale? Since the dress sold out so quickly and now the brand has been dissolved, a lot of women are looking for the dress and I'm sure many other GMG dress styles.
