While Christmas might be my favorite holiday to decorate for, autumn home decor also has my heart. I love pulling out my pumpkins and leaves and pinecones and making our living space a little cozier.
While the heat of August is still lingering I've gone ahead and pulled out my favorite pieces (and shopped a few places too!) to help you get a jumpstart on your decorating ideas. Overall, our home's aesthetic trends toward New England Nordic - minimal with elements of warmth and age throughout - so fall decor with its oranges and yellows, candles and pillows fits in very naturally.
With most of our kitchen and living space renovations finished I feel a bit more confident in adding a few key pieces to my decor collection. I don't have too much room to store seasonal decor so the pieces I purchase I want to make sure I love and will fit the space well.
It's not hard to spend a fair amount of money on seasonal decor - especially if it's not on sale - but even in the pieces I purchase for the home I'm always looking for quality and longevity. I don't mind spending $100 on a beautiful wool throw blanket as long as I know it's going to be a piece that sticks with us for years to come.
This year, Target also has some stunning pieces in their Studio McGee and Hearth and Hand collections that I did a little shopping with to fill in a few holes in the decor.
